The problem of violence in all its forms (physical, psychological, verbal, symbolic) has been the subject of a galloping inflation of legislation in France and abroad, the aim of which is to ensure better protection for victims, with diversified responses. Indeed, the penal response is not always exclusive. It is also necessary to make room for restorative justice in total complementarity with positive law. It is in this context that a new project entitled "Law and violence in an institutional setting" will take shape. The members of this project will apply the three key concepts of the team, body, norms and health, to the legal and ethical aspects.

Certain forms of violence that were once invisible are now revealed, but remain poorly identified, both by their perpetrators and by the victims. The academic community has not been spared the violence and harassment that we see in contemporary society, particularly in cases of violence against women. In view of the worrying extent of the phenomenon, it appeared necessary to undertake in-depth research, limiting its scope to ways of improving the existing system within AMU, an institution that is committed to fighting against all forms of harassment. Inspired by the Canadian model, the project will be part of the dynamic of a total overhaul of the initial system of reception and support that has been carried out by the AMU.
